AD_ Mission Statement

Our mission is to develop knowledgeable, compassionate, responsible, independent and productive citizens through a safe, comprehensive, quality educational program. The school district shall strive to provide a safe environment for all students and staff and meaningful

opportunities and innovative educational programs for all students so they reach their learning potential, including the attainment of content standards, through partnerships between home, school and the community.

Cheyenne Mountain School District 2 is dedicated to providing all members of the Cheyenne Mountain / Falcon community an opportunity to share in the development of a school program that recognizes the uniqueness, dignity, and worth of the individual by providing a sense of security, mutual respect, encouragement, compassion, and the opportunity to succeed in a rapidly changing world.

We believe education is a lifelong process of directed self-development that begins with the

home, is complemented by the school, and guided by the past, present, and future needs and wants of the total society. This process requires a climate of cooperation and trust among all members of our community and demands a school program that is responsive and sufficiently flexible to meet the dynamic needs and capabilities of each student.

The major purpose of our schools is to provide a stimulating learning environment which

enables each student to develop his/her potential. We will provide a setting where each student will have the opportunity to experience the meaning of democratic ideals, where a student can learn responsibility by having it, can know self-discipline by exercising it, and can develop a personal value system by practicing it. We value an environment which promotes growth and accepts change when change is appropriate, fosters a climate of creativity, and actively contributes to a dynamic society by enhancing each student's academic, aesthetic, emotional, moral, physical, social, and vocational potential.

The School District values the competence of our total staff and continuously seeks to provide opportunities for all employees to experience their full value as contributing members of the organization. We are committed to a cooperative, personal process built on mutual respect and open communication.
